Who we are

Pro Management Authority started in 2018 when our founder, after 14 years of managing teams in Quebec's manufacturing and tech sectors, noticed the same pattern everywhere: talented people got promoted into management roles with zero preparation. They struggled with delegation, gave feedback that backfired, and burned out within two years.

We exist to close that gap. Our trainers have each managed teams of 10 to 120 people across industries like logistics, healthcare administration, retail operations, and software development. They teach from direct experience, not from a textbook chapter they read last week.

Every program we deliver is built around scenarios drawn from real workplaces in Laval and the greater Montreal area. Participants practice with role-plays, case studies from local businesses, and structured peer feedback, so the skills transfer to Monday morning, not just the training room.

What we offer

Each program can be delivered on-site at your workplace, at our Laval training space, or in a hybrid format. Group sizes range from 6 to 20 participants.

New manager foundations

A 3-day intensive for people stepping into their first management role. Covers setting expectations with direct reports, running productive one-on-ones, giving corrective feedback without damaging trust, and managing former peers. Participants leave with a 90-day action plan tailored to their actual team.

Performance coaching skills

Two-day workshop focused on having the conversations most managers avoid. How to address chronic lateness, missed targets, interpersonal conflict, and attitude issues. We rehearse each conversation type using a structured model that keeps discussions productive. Participants rate this as the most immediately useful program we run.

Strategic planning for mid-level leaders

A 4-session program spread over two months. Participants learn to translate organizational goals into team-level priorities, build capacity plans, manage cross-functional dependencies, and present proposals to senior leadership. Between sessions, each participant works on a live strategic initiative from their own department.

Time and priority management

One full day dedicated to helping managers reclaim their calendar. We audit how participants actually spend their time (most are shocked), then rebuild their weekly structure around high-impact work. Covers delegation frameworks, meeting hygiene, and saying no without damaging relationships.

Team dynamics and conflict resolution

Two days of hands-on work on group behaviour. Participants learn to diagnose why a team is underperforming, facilitate difficult group discussions, and rebuild trust after a breakdown. Includes a team health assessment tool they can use quarterly with their own staff.

Custom corporate programs

When your organization faces a specific challenge, like integrating two merged teams or preparing a cohort for promotion, we design a program from scratch. We interview stakeholders, observe the work environment, and build training around your real situations. Typical custom engagements run 3 to 8 sessions.

How it works

From first call to follow-up, here is what to expect when you work with us.

1

Discovery call

We spend 30 minutes understanding your team size, industry context, and the specific management gaps you want to address. No sales pitch.

2

Program design

We select or customize a program, set dates, and share a detailed outline with learning objectives and pre-work assignments.

3

Delivery

Interactive sessions with role-plays, case studies, and peer coaching. No death-by-PowerPoint. Participants practice skills in the room.

4

Follow-up

Four weeks after the program, we run a 90-minute check-in session. Participants report on what they applied, what worked, and where they need more support.

"The new manager foundations program gave me a structure I could follow from day one. I stopped guessing and started leading. My team noticed the difference within a week."

Nadia K., team lead at a logistics firm

Jean-Pierre L. portrait

"We sent 12 supervisors through the conflict resolution program. Grievances in our department dropped by 40% in the following quarter. That is not a coincidence."

Jean-Pierre L., HR director

Samira B. portrait

"The time management session was a wake-up call. I was spending 60% of my week in meetings that did not need me. I cut that in half and finally had time to coach my team."

Samira B., project manager

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the things people ask most often before booking.

We cap most workshops at 20 people. For coaching-intensive programs like performance conversations, we prefer groups of 8 to 12 so everyone gets enough practice time.

Yes. All our trainers are bilingual. We deliver programs in French, English, or a mix of both depending on your team's preference. Materials are available in both languages.

Absolutely. On-site delivery is our most popular option. We bring all materials and need a room that fits your group comfortably, a projector or large screen, and a flipchart. We serve the greater Montreal area, Laval, Longueuil, and surrounding regions.

Pricing depends on program length, group size, and customization. A standard 2-day workshop for up to 15 participants typically falls between $3,500 and $6,000 CAD. We provide a detailed quote after the discovery call.

Participants receive a certificate of completion for each program. While our training is not tied to a formal accreditation body, many organizations use our certificates for internal professional development tracking and promotion criteria.

We ask for at least 10 business days' notice for rescheduling at no charge. Cancellations with less than 5 business days' notice incur a 30% fee to cover trainer preparation time.
